Dry Season
The dry season, from May to October, brings generally clear skies and comfortable temperatures, particularly through the cooler winter months. As the surrounding bush thins and natural water sources become more limited, wildlife can be easier to spot, while the settled weather is well suited to safaris and outdoor activities. Later in the season, temperatures begin to climb and water levels at the Falls gradually recede, offering clearer views of the rock formations and gorge.
Green Season
The Green Season, from November to April, brings warmer temperatures, summer rainfall and a dramatic change in the landscape, as the surrounding bush becomes lush and green and migratory birds return to the region. Water levels at Victoria Falls generally build as the season progresses, typically reaching their highest levels around March and April, when the Falls are at their most powerful and the spray can be seen from kilometres away.
